Qualified with an HND in Spatial Design from Glasgow College of Building and Printing 1994 – 1996 Qualified with an Honours Degree in Spatial Design from Caledonian University

Career History
1996 – 1998 Employed by Caledonian Newspapers. The former Owners of The Herald, Evening Times & Caledonian Magazines. Responsible for re-designing the interiors of various departments and replanning the space in both office and industrial environments. This involved managing the projects through to completion.

1997 Joint winner of the Scottish Designer of the Year award.

1998 Employed by RLS associates. Responsible for Managing Various Projects from inception to completion. Projects ranged from space planning and re-organising existing office space through to complete relocations to new premises including refurbishments.

1999 – 2001 Promoted to Partner of RLS associates. Given shared control of Company Matters. Responsible again for the Project Management and space planning on a variety projects.

2001 – 2002 Became Director of Pegasus Move Managers Limited. The new trading name for RLS associates. Responsible for Project Management and Move Management on a variety of projects.

Examples of Past Projects
Scottish Power - Management of the relocation from their offices in East Kilbride to Glasgow.

Scottish Daily Mail - Management of the relocation to their new premises in Renfield Street, Glasgow. Provision of Project and Move Management services on a rolling basis.

Metro Newspaper - Management of the relocation to their new premises including the internal fit out of their new premises.

Agilent Technologies - Move Management and Space planning of their offices comprising of 5 buildings in South Queensferry to make space for rapidly expanding staff numbers. Comprised of a rolling program of weekend moves over a 14 month period to reduce work area sizes.

Amey Miller- Management of the relocation of complete Secondary Schools into Temporary locations and thereafter into Refurbished or new Schools in both Glasgow and Edinburgh. We have completed 16 to date. Currently ongoing.

35 years with George Outram Now The Scottish Media Group

I joined the company in 1962 when they published and printed the Glasgow Herald and Evening Times plus an ever expanding group of Provincial Newspapers Now trading as Scottish & Universal Newspapers.

1960s-Late 1970s My roll was to project manage refurbishment works, enabling works for new plant installations and the space planning and fit out of new office accommodation

1978 – 1981 I was part of the team who pre planned and moved The Herald & Times from Mitchell Street to a new home in Albion street

1985 - 1988 new colour press installation Major office Refurbishment's

1995 - 1996 Wholly responsible for all aspects of the enabling works for a major extension to the colour press installation including planning and implementing site safety for staff and contractors
Responsibilities:-
Deputy Chair Health and Safety Committee Work place assessments, Environmental Protection act implementation Client responsibilities in, the Construction (Design & Management) Regs. Liasing with Fire, Environmental Health, Planning and Building officials on compliance and change

1996 -2000
Formed R.L.S. associates with Ian Stevenson Honours Graduate interior Design To provide Design and Project & Facilities and Move Management to a wide range of selected clients This company has now been running for 4 years with a good customer base. We specialise in move management for larger companies our track record in achieving a successful turn a round is second to none

2001- Present
Pegasus Move Managers formed 2001 Has now been formed to take our skills as Move Managers to a wider audience.
